Works well in non-ferrous ferrocement
I have been doing experiments with thin-shell concrete construction similar to ferrocement, but without any materials that are going to corrode when water inevitably finds its way in. This mesh does seem to fit the criteria, and together with 6″ “highway mesh” also made from mineral fiber and polymer, I have had success with making a ferrocement analog. Both products are however a lot less stiff than their steel counterparts, so formwork becomes a necessity, and undercuts ferrocements ability to make interesting free-form shapes and curves.
